Welcome to Leisure Inns of America

Leisure Inns of America, located at 2700 W 2nd St in Roswell, New Mexico, offers a distinctive lodging experience that blends value with comfort. With a solid rating of 3.5 stars, it stands out as an affordable option for travelers seeking spacious accommodations without the frills of a high-end hotel.

The inn features notably large rooms, often described as more akin to studio apartments than typical hotel quarters. Guests appreciate the unique design element of dual doors—one opening to the parking area and the other leading to a charming courtyard that resembles a small park. This outdoor space provides a quiet retreat, perfect for relaxation after a day exploring Roswell’s attractions such as the International UFO Museum and the New Mexico Military Institute, both just a short drive away.

Though the property shows its age, the emphasis on cleanliness and comfort is clear. Visitors commonly praise the pristine rooms, the comfortable beds, and the thoughtfully maintained bathrooms. The inclusion of practical amenities like free Wi-Fi, refrigerators, microwaves, and a continental breakfast enhances the overall stay, especially for extended visits or business trips.

The hotel’s character is grounded in its no-nonsense, approachable atmosphere. It’s not flashy or modern, but the friendly staff and quiet location make it appealing particularly to light sleepers and budget-conscious travelers. Pet-friendly policies further broaden its appeal, although additional fees might apply.

In terms of drawbacks, some guests note that the furnishings and fixtures could benefit from updates, and occasional issues with smoking rooms or air conditioning have been mentioned. However, these are balanced by the hotel’s undeniable value, especially given the generous room sizes and beneficial amenities.

Overall, Leisure Inns of America is a practical, welcoming option for those visiting Roswell. It delivers a pleasing blend of space, comfort, and affordability, all situated near key local points of interest. For travelers who prioritize ease and economy over luxury, this inn offers a rewarding stay that feels personal, efficient, and refreshingly simple.

Cheap, huge room. No smell, no bugs - absolutely worth the price. The place is unique in that it has 2 doors - the second one leads to a courtyard area for guests that looks like a little park.... just don’t close the door behind you because it locks! I didn’t bring a pet but I believe they are pet friendly (possibly a for a fee if I read the ticket correctly). There is a decent sized pool in the courtyard but I’m here in February so they drained it for winter. Bummer.

This is an older Inn with large clean rooms. I have stayed here several times over the last few years and always found the rooms clean. It is older so don't expect brand new up to date fixtures. It is more than adequate for a night or several days. Good restaurants are not far away. It has a Continental breakfast wifi TV refrigerator and microwave. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I would rather stay here for a lot less money than one of the chain motels.

I actually really like this hotel. It's not fancy by any means, needs a lot of updating, the room we got was the only one left and it was a smoking room so it does have a smell to it, but for the price its decent and does the job. Rooms are really big and they each have a front door and a back door opening up to a nice little yard. It reminds me more of a studio apartment than a hotel.

Great price, large rooms, really comfortable beds and clean bathroom. Quiet area on the edge of Roswell great for light sleepers. Some reviews complain about the AC but it got the room plenty cold and as an electrical engineer the AC being plugged into a power monitoring station is likely SAFER than being plugged straight into the wall. The backdoor leads to a nice large courtyard area. Plenty of space to explore. Supporting a local business that's competitively priced makes me feel good. Getting a room later in the night might cost you a bit more, just book ahead.

This hotel is a great value for state employees. The rooms are huge have a fridge and microwave and the showers are awesome. For the price I will definitely be staying again on work trips. Free wifi is a plus. The tv and furniture are dated but who can complain for this price.

I am currently staying here right now, and to tell the truth, when I pulled up I thought "oh crap, I booked a horrible hotel", but then I met the guy at the front desk who was very polite. The rooms are huge, have extremely soft carpet, everything is very clean and the bathrooms are nice. Great stay for the money! Especially since I'm used to Hampton inns or similar, this hotel is amazing for the price. The beds are soft, the pillows are extremely fluffy, and every room has wifi, a fridge and microwave. TV's are a little outdated, but who cares? Great room! I would definitely recommend staying here to ANYONE!
